The grapes for this Pinotage are bought in Stellenbosch, Bottelary Hills, hence why it is released under the '1900' range. Fermented with 20% whole bunches and aged for 10 months in 20% new wood, the rest are 2nd fills. This is a pleasantly rustic style of Pinotage with intense terroir flavours of graphite, and later on violets, black olives, dark forrest fruit and herbs. The palate is lean and with nice acidity with grippy tannins. A different style than the Spioenkop Pinotage.
